Ingredients:

  • 500g of ground beef
  • 200g of canned kidney beans
  • 200g of canned black beans
  • 400g of diced tomatoes
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 100ml of beef broth

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • large pot
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • wooden spoon
  • measuring cups

Instructions:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Increase the heat to high and add the ground beef, cooking until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper, and cook for 2 more minutes to toast the spices.
  • Add the canned kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth, stirring to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to medium-low and let it cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve hot, garnished with your choice of toppings if desired.
