Ingredients:

  • 500g of ground beef
  • 4 slices of aged cheddar cheese
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 red onion
  • 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • measuring spoons

Instructions:

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 4 patties.
  • Lightly oil the grill grates, then place the patties on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms, then flip and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your preference.
  • While the burgers are cooking, slice the avocado, tomato, and red onion into thin slices.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to create a sauce.
  • To assemble the burger, spread the homemade sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Add a burger patty, followed by avocado slices, tomato, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
