Ingredients:

  • 500g of ground beef
  • 200g of black beans (canned)
  • 150g of white rice (cooked)
  • 100g of cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 100g of sour cream
  • 1 large onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 5 large flour tortillas
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Frying pan
  • Chopping board
  • Knife
  • Large bowl
  • Serving plates

Instructions:

  • In a frying pan over medium heat, add the ground beef, onions, and garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent.
  • Stir in the black beans, cooked rice, cumin, chili powder, and salt. Cook until heated through, about 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  • Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface. Divide the beef and bean mixture evenly among the tortillas.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture and add a dollop of sour cream.
  • Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly to enclose the filling.
  • Place the rolled burritos seam side down on serving plates, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
