Ingredients:
- 300g of wheat
- 100g of rice
- 150g of sugar
- 1L of water
- 200g of dried fruits (apricots, figs, and raisins)
- 100g of nuts (walnuts and almonds)
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Saucepan
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring cups
- Wooden spoon
- Serving dish
Instructions:
- Rinse the wheat and rice thoroughly under cold water and drain well.
- In a large saucepan, combine wheat, rice, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low and simmer until the grains are soft, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes.
- Add sugar, dried fruits, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Stir well to combine and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly before transferring it to a mixing bowl to continue thickening.
- Once slightly cooled, pour the mixture into a serving dish, spreading it evenly. Allow it to set further as it cools.
- Before serving, top with nuts and a sprinkle of cinnamon for garnish.
