Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 package of vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Topping: whipped cream

Instructions:

  • In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk the mixture over medium heat until it thickens and comes to a gentle boil.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and lemon juice.
  • In serving cups, layer the bottom with crushed vanilla wafers, followed by a layer of sliced bananas and then a layer of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layering until the cups are filled, finishing with the pudding on top.
  • Chill the cups in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes before serving.
  • Before serving, top each cup with whipped cream and a slice of banana as decoration.
